ADA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving team dropped a 136-82 Ohio Athletic Conference dual to Ohio Northern University in the ONU Sports Center.
BW (4-6, 1-3 OAC) was led by junior All-American Tyler Thompson (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) as he won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:00.79 and the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:06.23.
Also, picking up a victory and a runner-up were senior All-OAC performer Jacob Burk (Bowling Green), senior diver Jon Levin (Olmsted Falls), sophomore diver Cameron O'Brien (Toledo/Northview) and freshman freestyler Greg Shaw (Colorado Springs, Colo./Manitou Springs). Burk won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:01.70 and was second in the 1,650-yard freestyle in a time of 17:27.92. Levin was the winner in the 1-meter dive with 214.35 points and took second in the 3-meter dive with a career-best 192.02 points. O'Brien won the 3-meter dive with a career-best 244.25 points and finished second in the 1-meter dive with a career-best 213.60 points. Shaw touched the wall first in 100-yard butterfly in a time of 53.42 seconds and was the runner-up in the 50-yard freestyle in a career-best time of 22.48.
In addition, freshman freestyler Austin Lockhart (Olmsted Falls) was second in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 56.97.
In relay action, the 200-medley relay unit of sophomore freestyler Tyler Allison (Napoleon), Thompson, Shaw and Lockhart took second in a season-best time of 1:41.26.
