Men's Soccer Shuts Out Mount Union in Regular Season Home Finale

BEREA, Ohio— The Baldwin Wallace Universitymen's soccer team closed out the home portion of the regular season schedule as it shutout the University of Mount Union in an Ohio Athletic Conference game by a final score 2-0 on Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.

BW (3-2-2, 3-2-2 OAC) scored the lone goal of the first half when junior midfielder Nick Surowicz (Medina/Highland) when he scored on a free kick from 45 yards out at the right minute mark

In the second half, the Yellow Jackets sealed the game when junior Academic All-OAC midfielder Attila Nagy Jr. (Lakewood) scored on a feed from freshmen forward Michael Tusick (Strongsville) in the 60th minute.

Mount Union (4-3, 4-3 OAC) outshot BW by an 11-7 margin and won the corner kick battle by a count of 8-4.

In net for the Yellow Jackers, sophomore goalkeeper Matt Weaver (Ontario) got his first victory and shutout of the season.

BW closes out the regular season schedule on Sunday, April 11 when it travels to Marietta for an OAC match against the Marietta College on the Marietta Field at 2 p.m.
