Men's Soccer Drops Cold and Blustery OAC Game to Crosstown Rival John Carroll

BEREA, Ohio— The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team battled frigid temperatures and wind chills as it dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference spring game to crosstown rival John Carroll University by a final score of 1-0 on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium

John Carroll (5-0, 5-0 OAC) scored the game's lone goal when sophomore midfielder Brenden Swann buried a shot off a deflection at the 43:47 mark.

The Blue Streaks held the advantage in both shots and corner kicks.  

In net for the BW (2-2-2, 2-2-2 OAC), sophomore netminder JT Brenneman (Willoughby/Wickliffe) , who lefth the game in the second half with an jury, took the loss allowing as he allowed one goal and made three saves. Sophomore goalie Matt Weaver (Ontario) played the final 37 minutes and did not allow a goal and tallied two saves. 

The Yellow Jackets are back in action  on Monday, April 5 when they travel to Wilmington for an OAC match against Wilmington College on Townsend Field inside Williams Stadium at 7 p.m,  BW returns home on Thursday, April 8 when it hosts an OAC game against the University of Mount Union at 7 p.m.
