DOVER, Ohio – Senior Academic All-OAC player Ryan Green (Conneaut/Edgewood) was the tri-medalist as the Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team opened the fall potion of its 2023-24 schedule with an fifth-place finish at the Gatorade Collegiate Invitational hosted by The College of Wooster at the Zoar Village Golf Course.

BW was fifth of 12 teams with a two-day total of 626 on the par-72 and 6,733-yard Zoar Village layout.  Wooster was the champion on a tiebreaker with 586 strokes

• Green, who won his first collegiate invitational, fired rounds of 72 and 71 for a two-round total of 143
• Junior Logan Cook (Berea/Berea-Midpark) shot rounds of 78 and 80 for a two-day total of 158
• Freshman CJ Goodrich (Chardon) carded rounds of 78 and 83 for a two-round total of 161
• Junior Academic All-OAC golfer Christian Miller (North Lawrence/Tuslaw) tallied rounds of 84 and 81 for a two-day total of 165
• Senior Trevor Mackey (Brunswick) had rounds of 83 and 87 for a two-round total of 170

Individuals

• Sophomore Ben McCallum (Canton/Massillon Jackson) carded rounds of 89 and 78 for a two-day total of 167
• Freshman Zach Martin (Poland/Seminary) shot rounds of 96 and 85 for a two-round total of 181
• Freshman Hunter Shrefler (Middleburg Heights/Berea-Midpark) tallied rounds of 101 and 91 or a two-day total of 192
• Junior Ethan Morrison (Conneaut) had rounds of 119 and 99 for a two-round total of 218

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Sunday, September 10 when they host the BW Fall Invitational at the Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinckley.
