HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished second at the Battle of the Cuyahoga hosted by John Carroll University at the Highland Park Golf Course.

BW was second of two teams with 315 total stokes on the par-72 and 6,740-yard Highland Park layout.  John Carroll was the champion with 292 strokes.

  • Senior Trevor Mackey (Brunswick) fired a career-low round of 78
  • Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference golfer Ryan Green (Conneaut/Edgewood) carded a round of 79
  • Freshman CJ Goodrich (Chardon) tallied a round of 85
  • Freshman Zach Martin (Poland/Seminary) had a round of 89

Individuals

  • Sophomore Ben McCallum (Canton/Massillon Jackson) shot a round of 84
  • Sophomore Zach Hritz (Columbia Station/Columbia) carded a round of 88
  • Junior Academic All-OAC golfer Christian Miller (North Lawrence/Tuslaw) tallied a round of 91
  • Junior Ethan Morrison (Conneaut) posted a round of 101
  • Freshman Hunter Shrefler (Middleburg Heights/Berea-Midpark) had a round of 106

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday and Sunday, September 23 and 24 when they travel to Alliance to compete in the University of Mount Union Fall Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.
