Men’s Golf Finishes Eighth at OAC Fall Preview

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished in eighth place at the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Preview hosted by Marietta College at the River Green Golf Course.

BW was eighth of eight teams with 652 strokes on the par-72 and 5,811-yard River Greens layout. Otterbein University was the champion with 588 strokes. 

Top 5

  • Junior Logan Cook (Berea/Berea-Midpark) shot rounds of 78 and 80 for a two-day total of 158
  • Senior Academic All-OAC player Ryan Green (Conneaut/Edgewood) carded rounds of 80 and 82 for a two-round total of 162
  • Senior Trevor Mackey (Brunswick) posted rounds of 86 and 84 for a two-day total of 170
  • Junior Academic All-OAC player Christian Miller (North Lawrence/Tuslaw) tallied rounds of 87 and 80 for a two-round total of 167
  • Freshman CJ Goodrich (Independence), who withdrew in the second round, had a first round of 82 

Individuals

  • Sophomore Zach Hritz (Columbia Station/Columbia) posted rounds of 86 and 91 for a two-day total of 177
  • Freshman Hunter Shrefler (Middleburg Heights/Berea-Midpark) tallied rounds of 92 and 96 for a two-day total of 188
  • Sophomore Ben McCallum (Canton/Massillon Jackson) had rounds of 107 and 97 for a two-round total of 204 

The Yellow Jackets close out the fall portion of their schedule on Monday, October 9 when they travel to Chardon to compete in the John DiCillo Memorial Invitational hosted by John Carroll University at the Sand Ridge Golf Club.
