Men’s Golf Takes Eighth at Mount Union Fall Invitational

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished in eighth place at the University of Mount Union Fall Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.

BW was eighth of nine 10 teams with 657 strokes on the par-72 and 6,694 yard Tannehauf layout.   The College of Wooster was the champion with 601 strokes.

  • Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference golfer Ryan Green (Conneaut/Edgewood) fired rounds of 75 and 82 for a two-round total of 157
  • Senior Trevor Mackey (Brunswick) carded rounds of 82 and 83 for a two-day total of 165
  • Junior Logan Cook (Berea/Berea-Mid[ark) shot rounds of 83 and 83 for a two-round total of 166.
  • Freshman CJ Goodrich (Chardon) tallied rounds of 86 and 83 for a two-day total of 169
  • Sophomore Ben McCallum (Canton/Massillon Jackson) had rounds of 92 and 93 for a two-round total of 185

Individuals

  • Sophomore Zach Hritz (Columbia Station/Columbia) shot rounds of 90 and 88 for a two-day total of 178
  • Freshman Hunter Shrefler (Middleburg Heights/Berea-Midpark) tallied rounds of 103 and 96 for a two-round total of 199
  • Junior Ethan Morrison (Conneaut) had rounds of 111 and 107 for a two-round total of 218.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday and Sunday, October 7 and 8 when they travel to West Lafayette to compete in the OAC Fall Preview at the River Greens Golf Course.
