Men's Golf Applauds Four Senior Student-Athletes

BEREA, Ohio –  The Baldwin Wallace University Athletic Department and men's golf program would like to congratulate senior student-athletes Dylan Boff, Jared Budner, Jimmy Clark and Steven Newbould on completing their outstanding athletic careers at the University.

While the NCAA has extended another year of eligibility, it is uncertain if each of these student-athlete will come back for another season or continue down their career path.  So, the University administration, faculty and staff congratulates these four young men on their outstanding athletic and academic careers as well as their leadership to the men's golf program. The University would like to wish each of them all the best of luck in their future endeavors and hope that even after graduation that they come back and visit us often. They will always be a Yellow Jacket for Life (YJ4L).

Boff is a criminal justice major from Broadview Heights, Ohio and a graduate of North Royalton High School.  He missed the entire 2021 season with an injury.  Boff, who transferred to BW from Lakeland Community College, has appeared in 14 career tournaments and 21 rounds.  He has a career stroke average of 79.52.  Boff fired a career-low round of 72 at the Rumble on the River hosted by John Carroll University at  the River Greens Golf Course on September 14, 2019.  He is 25th in school history in season stroke average with a 77.48 that he posted in 2018-19. 

 

 

  

 

 

Budner is an health & physical education major from Macedonia, Ohio and a graduate of Nordonia High School.  He will earn his secpnd varsity letter this spring.  Budner has appeared in 33 tournaments and 43.5 rounds.  He has a career stroke average of 83.08.  Budner fired a career-low round of 76 at the BW Fall Invitational on September 8, 2018.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Clark is a business mangament graduate major from North Olmsted, Ohio and a graduate of North Olmsted High School.  He is an two-time All-OAC performer that will earn his fourth varsity letter this spring.  Clark has appeared in 45 tournaments and 78 rounds.  He ranks second in school history with a 76.44 career stroke average.  Clark also holds the fourth and fifth best season stroke averages with a 74.52 last fall and a 75.11 in 2018-19 ago.  He fired a career-low round of 70 on two occasions with the last coming at the University of Mount Union Fall Invitational on September 21, 2019. Clark is a five-time Medalist and a three-time OAC Men's Golfer of the Week. Off the course, he is a student-assistant in the Office of Athletic Communications.  

 

 

 

 

 

Newbould is an accounting and finance double major from Parma, Ohio and a graduate of Valley Forge High School.  He will earn his second varsity letter this spring.  Newbould, who transferred to BW from Cuyahoga Community College, appeared in 21 career tournaments and 31.5 rounds. He had a career stroke average of 82.35. Newbould fired a career-low round of 75 at the Mount Union Fall Invitational on September 21, 2019.
