Men's Golf Runner Up at John Dicillo Invitational

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio  The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team concluded its fourth invitational of the spring by placing second in the John Dicillo Invitational at River Greens Golf Course.

BW was second of four teams with 315 strokes on the par-72 and 6,866 River Greens-layout.  John Carroll was the team champion with 308 strokes. 

The duo of senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) and junior Logan Bratsch (Olmsted Falls) led the Yellow Jackets with identical rounds of 77.  Freshman Ryan Green (Conneaut/Edgewood) fired a career-best round of 79. Junior Henry Neumann (Broadview Heights /Padua Franciscan) tallied a round of 82.  Rounding out the top five was senior Jared Budner (Macedonia/Nordonia) with a round of 87.

Playing as individuals were senior Steven Newbould (Parma/Valley Forge), junior Mike Douzos (Amherst/Firelands) and freshman Alex Baker (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills).  Newbould led the indivduals with a round of 86.  Douzos and Baker each had a round of 102.

The Yellow Jackets continues their season on Saturday, April 24, when it travels to Highland Hills to compete in the Cuyahoga East Invitational at Highland Park Golf Course.
