Men’s Golf Finishes Third at Dan Caschera Invitational

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished in fourth place at the Dan Caschera Invitational hosted by John Carroll University at the Shaker Heights Country Club.

BW was third of six teams with a total of 317 strokes on the par-70 and 6,721-yard  Shaker Heights layout.   Ohio Northern University was the champion with 310 strokes.

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) and junior Logan Bratsch (Olmsted Falls) as the duo each fired a round of 76.  Freshman Ryan Green (Conneaut/Edgewood) carded a round of 81.  Senior Jared Budner (Macedonia/Nordonia) had a round of 84.   Rounding out the top five was junior Henry Neumann (Broadview Heights/Padua Franciscan) with a round of 85.

Playing as individuals were senior Steven Newbould (Parma/Valley Forge), junior Mike Douzos (Amherst/Firelands) and freshman Alex Baker (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills).  Baker led the individuals as he carded a round of 87.  Neumann shot a round of 91.  Douzos had a round of 110.

BW returns to the links on Sunday, April 18 as it travels to West Lafayette to compete in the John Dicillo Invitational hosted by John Carroll at the River Greens Golf Course.
