BEREA, Ohio – The sixth-seeded Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team defeated Muskingum University by a score of 95-78 in an Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament semifinal game in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center.

BW (15-12), who advances to the OAC Championship game for the first time since 2006, will travel to Marietta on Saturday, February 25 to face top-seeded and Regular Season Champion Marietta College in the OAC Championship game in the Ban Johnson Arena at 7:30 p.m.
The Yellow Jackets had four players score in double figures led by junior All-OAC guard Cam Kuhn (Vermilion) with 26 points.  Sophomore All-OAC guard Jay Battle (Lincoln/Gahanna) added a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds.  Junior  forward Mike Kaminski (Medina) and junior All-OAC forward Jake Fetherolf (Norwalk) would add 17 and 10 points respectively.

With his 26 points Kuhn moves to 16th on BW's All-Time Scoring List with 1,377 points. He needs seven points to pass Kevin Krakowiak (2010-14) for 15th with 1,383 points.

Muskingum (14-13) had four players score in double figures led by senior forward Joshua Keyes as he recorded a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.  Senior guard Joshua Glass chipped in 17, sophomore guard Jarrell Marsh contributed 13 and freshman guard Marcus Dempsey added 12.

The tenth lead change of the first half would spark a 9-0 run from the Muskies after a layup from Glass extended the Muskingum lead to eight, 24-16 at the 12:10 mark.  An exchange of baskets would leave the Muskies with the lead, 30-23, at the 9:44 mark.  A 14-6 surge from the Yellow Jackets after an isolation dribble-drive layup from Kuhn would give BW a 37-36 lead at the 5:24 mark.  Back and forth play would be broken after Kaminski would sink his fourth three-pointer of the first half extending the BW lead to 44-40 at the 3:20 mark. After a Keyes layup cut the BW lead to two, 44-42, the Yellow Jackets would close out the half with a short 4-0 run to enter the intermission with their biggest lead of the first half up 48-42. Kaminski led all scorers at half with 12 points and Battle added nine points, seven rebounds, and five assists.

A 6-0 run opened the second half after a steal from Battle would turn into a transition layup and a ten point lead for the Yellow Jackets, 54-44, early in the second half.  A deep three pointer from freshman guard Michael Quiring (Brunswick) would push BW to a 14 point lead, 67-53, with 13:06 remaining in the game.  A back and forth nine minute stretch would leave the Yellow Jackets up 14, before a step back three pointer at the top of the key from Kuhn would fall to give BW a 19 point lead 85-66. Late game free throws from Battle would garner the largest lead of the game for the Yellow Jackets, 91-70. The BW bench would finish off the game in the final minutes as the Yellow Jackets roll into the OAC Championship Game 95-78.
