Football Rounds Out Coaching Staff with Jackson ’20 and Keneah

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University Head Football Coach Jim Hilvert has announced the additions of Noah Jackson '20 and Trocon Keneah to complete his coaching staff for 2020-21.

Jackson will serve as an assistant defensive line coach.  He returns to his alma mater after earning a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice and a minor in sociology in 2020.

While at BW, Jackson was a three-year letterwinner, All-Ohio Athletic Conference defensive lineman and a team captain on the Yellow Jacket football team.  He appeared in 27 career games and recorded 74 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, three quarterback sacks, two pass breakups and forced one fumble.  Jackson had his best season as a collegian during his final season when he was  fifth on the squad with a career-best 53 tackles while tallying a career-high 5.5 tackles for loss.

The Lorain native was a two-year letterwinner, All-Southwestern Conference selection. All-District selection and team captain at Amherst High School.

Keneah will serve as an assistant linebackers coach.  He comes to Berea after earning a Bachelor of Arts in both athletics communication and sports administration from Muskingum University in 2020. In addition to his coaching duties at BW, Keneah is serving as a Leadership in Higher Education (LHE) Intern in the Center of Inclusion.

While at Muskingum, he was a four-year letterwinner and team captain on the Fighting Muskie football team at linebacker.  Keneah appeared in 37 career games and recorded 105 tackles, seven pass break-ups, 1.5 quarterback sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.  He had his best season during his senior campaign when he tallied 58 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 quarterback sacks. 

Off the field, Keneah worked for the Muskingum Athletic Department and Athletic Communication Office as well Orbit Media, which is the broadcast partner for Fighting Muskie Athletics.  He volunteered at the 2018 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships in Cleveland and the 2018 NCAA Division III Volleyball Championships in Pittsburgh.

The Cleveland Heights native and graduate was a two-year letterwinner and team captain on the Tiger football team.  Keneah also earned a varsity letter in track and field.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Yellow Jacket  fall 10-game schedule was postponed and rescheduled to a five-game Friday night 2021 spring season.  BW will open its spring season on Friday, March 12 when it travels to University Heights for an OAC East Division and 32nd Annual Battle for Cuyahoga Gold Bowl Trophy Game on Wasmer Field inside Don Shula Stadium at 7 p.m.
