BEREA, Ohio – Sophomore thrower Maggie Urban (Cleveland/St. Joseph's Academy) once again set the Baldwin Wallace University school-record in the hammer throw as the women's outdoor track and field team competed at the annual Paul "Sparky" Adams Invitational at The George Finnie Stadium.

 The Yellow Jacket women were led by Urban as placed second in the hammer throw with a school record mark of 172 feet and two inches.  She broke her own school record that she set a week ago at the All-Ohio Championships.  

In addition to Urban in the field events, sophomore thrower Kim Gallavan (Auburn Township/Kenston ) took second in discus with a throw of 147'8", third in the shot with a toss of  42' 2.75" and was fourth in the hammer with a career-best  throw of 162' 6" inches.

In running events, senior Brooke Hradisky (Aurora) and sophomore Kali Fitro (Tiffin/Columbian) each won an event.  Hradisky won the 800-meter in a time of 2:20.34 and Fitro won the 3000-meter as she crossed the finish line in a season-best 10:53.89.  Senior Blair Vrcan (Mentor) placed third in the 5000-meter in a season-best time of 19:48.55. 

Next Friday and Saturday, April 25-26, BW hosts the 2014 Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships Meet.
