Kim Gallavan Earns First Career OAC Weekly Honor

BEREA, Ohio --  Sophomore women's track thrower Kim Gallavan (Auburn Township/Kenston) was named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Thrower of the Week.  

Gallavan, who garners her first career OAC weekly honor, won the weight throw at the OAC North Split Squad Meet on Saturday and placed fourth at the University of Findlay Elite Throwers Meet on Friday.  At Finday,Gallavan set a career-best with a toss of 52-feet and 9.25 inches to place fourth and first among Division III throwers.  She won the weight throw at the OAC North Meet with a throw of 52' 2.5".

The Yellow Jacket thinclads return to action this Saturday, February 8 when they travel to Granville to compete at the annual Denison University Invitational Meet.
