BW Women Finish Sixth at Denison Meet

GRANVILLE, OHIO –   The Baldwin Wallace University women placed sixth at the Denison University Invitational in the Mitchel Fieldhouse.

The Yellow Jacket women were led in the running events by senior sprinter Nicole Smith (Geneva) who won the 400-meter dash in a career-best of 59.85 seconds and senior Brooke Hradisky (Aurora) who won the 800 meter run in 2:21.99.

In the field events, sophomore Kim Gallavan (Auburn Township/Kenton), this week's Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week, won the weight throw with a throw of 49-feet and 11 inches, and senior Victoria Brown (Berlin Center/Western Reserve) won the high jump with a leap of 5'2.25". 

The Yellow Jacket track and field teams are back in action on Friday, February 14 when they host the annual Mid-February Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track at 5:00 p.m.  The final home indoor meet is the following Friday, Feb. 21 when BW hosts the annual Greater Cleveland College Indoor Championship Meet at 5:00 p.m.
