Watts Garners First Career OAC Women's Tennis Weekly Accolade

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University sophomore women's tennis player Claire Watts (Medina/Highland) has been selected as Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week.

Watts, who earns her first career OAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week accolade, won her singles match at second singles as well as her doubles match at second doubles in a 6-3 victory against Marietta.

She defeated Cate Gisser by identical scores of 6-4 and teamed up junior Academic All-OAC standout Mackenzi Baker (Vermilion/ Elyria Catholic) to defeat the team of Kelsey Jeffrey and Alex Seals by a score of 8-5.

The women's tennis team is back in action on Tuesday, March 31 when it hosts and OAC match against Heidelberg University at the Pop Collins Tennis Courts at 3:30 p.m.  The team then hosts an OAC match against Otterbein University on Friday, April 3 at 12 p.m.
