MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team opened the fall portion of its 2014-15 season by being shut out by Allegheny College this afternoon.

The Gators took all three double matches and then closed out the shut out by sweeping the singles action.

Sophomore number two singles player Claire Watts (Medina/Highland) put up the top performance as she came up short in her bid to score the Yellow Jackets lone points as she dropped a thrilling three set match by scores of 1-6, 6-2 and 8-10.

BW is back in action this coming weekend September 13 and 14th when it travels to nearby Oberlin to compete in the Oberlin College Invitational on the Don Hunsinger Tennis Courts.   The Yellow Jackets play their first home match of the season on Saturday, September 21 when the team hosts NCAA Division II Clarion (Pa.) University on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts at 1 p.m.
