BEREA, OHIO - The defending Ohio Athletic Conference champion Baldwin Wallace University women's cross country team placed fourth and the Yellow Jacket men were sixth today (Saturday, September 18) at the 2010 Calvin College of Michigan Meet in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This was the fourth meet of the fall for the Yellow Jackets.
The women competed in a 5K run and were fourth of 14 schools with Calvin winning the meet title. The men ran in a 6K race and finished sixth of 15 teams with Calvin as the meet champion.
For the women, senior Kim Chinn (Zanesville/ West Muskingum) led the way by placing third of 195 runners and covered the course in 18:24.7. Chinn was followed by senior Karin Coyne (Columbia Station/ Columbia)in 28th place in 19:25.4, sophomore Sarah Rospert (Milan/ Edison) was 32nd in 19:34.1, freshman Jamie Clapacs (Wiloughby/ South) was 42nd in 20:00.5 and sophomore Lauren McGaughey (Allison Park, Pa./ Hampton) was 47th in 20:07.7. In addition in the Yellow Jacket Top-10, freshman Brooke Hradisky (Aurora)was 52nd in 20:12.2, senior Katie White (Berea) was 59th in 20:17.6, senior Krysten Kovach (North Royalton/ Parma Padua) was 66th in 20:26.0.

For the men, sophomore Ken Janosko (Mentor) was 12th and covered the course in 26:08.2. He was followed by junior Zach Szablewski (Tiffin/ Calvert) in 20th place in 26:19.0, junior Tom Wilkin (Powell/ Olentangy Liberty) was 46th in 27:04.1, sophomore Nick Jeffers (South Amherst/ Firelands) was 70th in 27:43.7 and freshman Dusan Vasic (Broadview Heights/ Brecksville-Broadview Hts.) in 76th place in 27:49.8.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action next Friday, October 1 when they travel to Delaware, Ohio to compete at the annual All-Ohio Meet with Ohio Wesleyan University as the host. Meet time is 2:00 p.m.
