Women’s Golf Finishes Sixth at Snowball’s Chance Championship

TIFFIN, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule as it placed sixth at the Snowball's Chance Championship hosted by Heidelberg University at the Mohawk Country Club.

BW was sixth of six teams with 426 strokes on the par 72 and 5,819 yard Mohawk layout.  Ohio Northern University was the champion with 340 strokes.

  • Sophomore Alana Smith (Fremont/Ross) fired a round of 96
  • Junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference golfer Brooke Newsome (Clyde) carded a round of 102
  • Senior Chloe Thomas (Norwalk) shot a round of 105
  • Sophomore Marissa Moriconi (Magnolia/Sandy Valley) posted a round of 123
  • Junior Halle Kalaman (Tallmadge/Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary) had a round of 130

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, March 23 when they travel to West Lafayette to compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Preview at the River Greens Golf Course.
