Women’s Golf Finishes Sixth at OAC Fall Preview

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished sixth at the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Preview hosted by Heidelberg University at the River Greens Golf Course 

BW was sixth of seven teams with 791 total strokes on the par-72 and 5,851-yard River Greens layout.  The University of Mount Union was the champion with 668 strokes.

  •  Junior Academic All-OAC golfer Brooke Newsome (Clyde) finished tied for 16th with rounds of 90 and 86 for a two-round total of 176
  • Sophomore Alana Smith (Fremont/Ross) shot rounds of 92 and 94 for a two-day total of 186
  • Senior Chloe Thomas (Norwalk) carded two identical rounds of 107 for a two-round total of 214.
  • Freshman Daniella Patrone (Poland/Seminary) posted rounds of 110 and 107 for a two-day total of 217
  • Junior Academic All-OAC golfer Steph Neff (Seven Hills/Padua Franciscan) had rounds round 108 and 117 for a two-round total of 225

The Yellow Jackets close out the fall portion of their schedule on Saturday and Sunday, October 7 and 8 when it travels to Willoughby Hills to compete in the John Carroll University Fall Invitational at the Manakiki Golf Course.
