Women’s Golf Finishes Sixth at Mount St. Joseph Stateline Shootout

HARRISON, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team opened the fall potion of its 2023-24 schedule with a sixth-place finish at the Mount St. Joseph University Stateline Shootout at the Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Course.

BW was sixth of eight teams with a total of 756 strokes on the par-72 and 5,662 Miami Whitewater Forest layout.  Mount St. Joseph was the champion 654 strokes.

  • Sophomore Alana Smith (Fremont/Ross) fired rounds of 91 and 89 for a two-round total of 180
  • Junior Academic All-OAC golfer Brooke Newsome (Clyde) carded rounds of 93 and 90 for a two-day total of 183
  • Junior Halle Kalaman (Tallmadge/Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary) shot rounds of 100 and 97 for a two-round total of 197
  • Freshman Daniella Patrone (Poland/Ursuline) tallied rounds of 92 and 104 for a two-day total of 196
  • Senior Chloe Thomas (Norwalk) had rounds of 104 and 116 for a two-round total of 220 

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Sunday, September 10 when they travel to Alliance for the University of Mount Union Fall Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.
