Women’s Golf Places Ninth at John Carroll Fall Invitational

WILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team closed out the fall portion of it scheduled as it placed ninth at the fall finale John Carroll University Fall Invitational at the Manakiki Golf Course.

BW was ninth of 12 teams with 752 strokes on the par-72 and 5,972 Manakiki layout. The College of Wooster was the champion via tie breaker with 656 strokes

  • Sophomore Alana Smith (Fremont/Ross) shot rounds of 84 and 82 for a two-round total of 166
  • Junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference golfer Brooke Newsome (Clyde) carded rounds of 87 and 92 for a two-day total of 179
  • Freshman Daniella Patrone (Poland/Ursuline) posted rounds of 102 and 98 for a two-round total of 200
  • Junior Academic All-OAC golfer Steph Neff (Seven Hills/Padua Franciscan) tallied rounds of 110 and 105 for a two-day total of 215
  • Senior Chloe Thomas (Norwalk) had rounds of 102 and 116 for 218 

The Yellow Jackets will return to action in March of 2024 during their annual spring break trip.
