Women’s Golf Takes Sixth at OAC Spring Preview

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished in sixth place at the Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Preview hosted by Heidelberg University at the River Greens Golf Course.

BW was sixth of six team with 412 strokes on the par-72 and 5,851 River Greens layout.  Otterbein University was the champion with 347 strokes

  • Junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference golfer Brooke Newsome (Clyde) carded a round of 94
  • Sophomore Alana Smith (Fremont/Ross) fired a round of 95
  • Sophomore Marissa Moriconi (Magnolia/Sandy Valley) posted a round of 109
  • Senior Chloe Thomas (Norwalk) shot a round of 114

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday and Saturday, April 5 and 6 when it travels to Harrod and Lima to compete at the Polar Bear Invitational hosted by Bluffton College and Ohio Northern University at the Colonial Golfers Club and Hidden Creek Golf Club.
