Women's Golf Takes Fifth at John Carroll Spring Invitational

HUDSON, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team placed fifth at the John Carroll Spring Invitational at the Ellsworth Meadows Golf Club. 

BW was fifth of five teams with a total of 368 strokes on the par-71 and 6,744 yards Ellsworth Meadows Golf Club layout. The College of Wooster won the invitational with a total of 332 strokes.

The top five leading the Yellow Jackets:

  • Freshman Brooke Newsome (Clyde) tied for 9th while carding a round of 87. 
  • Freshman Lauren Neher (Norwalk / Edison) placed 12th with a round of 89.
  • Senior Kelly Linnabary (Westerville / Central) tied 16th tallied a round of 94.
  • Sophomore Morgan Briley (Brunswick) tied 19th with a round of 98.
  • Senior Leah Metzger (Ashland) tied 23rd while carding a round of 105.

BW is back in action on Thursday, April 14th when it travels to Adrian, Michigan to compete at the at Adrian College Spring Invitational at The Hills of Lenawee Golf Club.
