FOSTORIA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team competed at the 27-hole Heidelberg University Fall Invitational at the Fostoria Country Club.
BW finished eighth out of 11 teams with a total of 717 strokes on the par 72 and 5,662-yard the Fostoria Country Club layout. Allegheny took first place with 633 strokes.
BW was led by senior Leah Metzger (Ashland) tied for 32nd as she fired rounds of 84 and 90 for a total of 174. Freshmen Lauren Neher (Norwalk / Edison) tied for 36th place as she had rounds of 92 and 84. Senior Kelly Linnabary (Westerville / Central) posted rounds 87 and 92 for a total of 179. Freshmen Brooke Newsome (Clyde) had a round of 93 and 95 for a total of 188. Rounding out the top five was junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Kaitlynn Olak (Norwalk / St. Paul) posted rounds 97 and 96 for a total of 193.
The Yellow Jackets back in action on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 25 and 26 as they travel to Hudson to compete in the John Carroll University Fall Invitational at the Country Club of Hudson.
