Women's Golf Finished in Fifth at the Adrian Spring Invitational

ADRIAN, Mich - The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team placed fifth at the Adrian Spring Invitational at The Hills of Lenawee Golf Club. 

BW was fifth of five teams with a total of 382 strokes on the par-71 and 6,302 yards at The Hills of Lenawee Golf Club layout. Siena Heights University won the invitational with a total of 344 strokes.

The top five leading BW:

  • Freshman Lauren Neher (Norwalk / Edison) tied for ninth and shot a round of 88.
  • Senior Kelly Linnabary (Westerville / Central) tied for 24th and tallied a round of 95.
  • Sophomore Morgan Briley (Brunswick) tied for 30th and shot a round of 99.
  • Freshman Brooke Newsome (Clyde) placed 32nd and carding a round of 100.
  • Senior Leah Metzger (Ashland) placed for 34th and carding a round of 104.

Playing as individuals:

  • Freshmen Steph Neff (Seven Hills / Padua Franciscan) placed 35th and cared a round of 106. 
  • Junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Kaitlynn Olak (Norwalk/St. Paul) tied for 36th and shot a round of 109.
  • Sophomore Chloe Thomas (Norwalk) placed 39th and carded round of 117.
  • Freshmen Lexy Kovach (Strongsville / Magnificat) placed 40th and posted a round of 118.
  • Senior Mary Fraley (Cleveland/Mayfield) placed 42nd and shot a round of 128.

The Yellow Jackets warp up their season on Friday, April 22 through April 24 when they travel to West Lafayette to compete in the OAC Championships hosted by the Univesity of Mount Union at the River Greens Golf Course.
