Sophomore OF Kate Carabin (Norwalk/ St. Paul), who ran for Alyssa Brown, advanced to second during Finley's at-bat and to third when she singled and then scored when freshman Nikki Peskura (Strongsville) singled. After two outs were made, Murray singled and both she and Peskura moved up a base on a passed ball and both scored when sophomore 1B Kaity Mullen (Avon Lake) singled.

At the plate, Lightel and Alyssa Brown led the 11-hit attack with two each.  On the mound, Murray started and earned the victory to even her record at 5-5. She received relief help in the seventh as Baker came from the outfielder to the mound to record her first save of the campaign.

In the second game, Baker was the hero on the mound. The win was a school-record 44th for her.  At the plate, Mullen, Elber and Lightel led the way with two hits each.
