Two Softball Players Selected as All-OAC

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace Cllege sophomore third baseman Lauren Feciuch (Kent/ Field) and freshman shortstop Brittany Lightel (Tallmadge) have been selected today (Sunday, May 6, 2012) as All-Ohio Athletic Conference student-athletes.  Feciuch was tabbed as a second-team selection and Lightel earned honorable mention honors.

Feciuch, an honorable mention pick in 2011, led the team in most offensive categories as she had a team-best .387 batting, .613 slugging and .408 on-base averages. Feciuch led the squad with career-highs in base hits (48), runs batted-in (26), homeruns (5), runs scored (23), stolen bases (8-for-8) and was second with a career-best 13 doubles.  She had a .970 fielding percentage in her first season at third base after making the move from shortstop.

For her career, Feciuch is batting .339 with 21 doubles, three triples, seven homeruns, 45 RBI, 77 hits and 39 runs scored.  She is also a perfect 11-for-11 on stolen base attempts and has a career .955 fielding percentage.

Lightel finished her rookie campaign third on the team in hitting with  a .352 batting average.   She was second in on-base average at .403 and was tied for second in stolen bases with five.  Lightel also was third on the squad in hits with 43 and doubles with six.
