Men's Cross Country Concludes Season Placing 13th in Great Lakes Regional Championships

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team saw its season come to an end this afternoon, as it competed in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championships, hosted by Hope College at the Three Fires Golf Course.

In a 8-kilometer event that was composed entirely of schools within the Great Lakes Region, BW managed to place 13th of 38 eligible teams, scoring 444 points. John Carroll University took home the Great Lakes Regional team title with 48 points and Case Western University placed second with 65 points. Therefore, both John Carroll and Case Western secured the two regional automatic bids to the National Championships.

The Yellow Jackets were led by:

  •  Senior David Russo (DePew, N.Y.) placed 33rd in a time of 25:02.7.
  • Junior Nick Dascani (Toledo / Springfield) finished 86th in a time of 25:45.9
  • Freshman Stephen Faltay (Wellington / Keystone) placed 99th in a time of 25:59.0
  • Sophomore Carter Almady (Brunswick) finished 114th in a time of 26:14.5
  • Junior Gehrig Stanley (Twinsburg /Benedictine) placed 116th in a time of 26:16.0
