MEDINA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team lost its Ohio Athletic Conference regular season finale to rival John Carroll University, 6-3, in a rescheduled match inside the Paramount Tennis Club.
In doubles play, BW (15-5, 4-4 OAC) won one of three matches to trail, 2-1. JCU (7-11, 6-1 OAC) also won four of six singles matches.
In doubles play, the No.1 duo of junior All-OAC player Peter Harris (Akron/ Richfield/ Revere) and junior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC student-athlete Doug Ganim (Olentangy/ Orange) won, 8-6, to improve to 21-4 this season and 64-18 and rank 12th all-time in school history. In singles play, Harris won at No.1 by the scores of 7-5 and 6-3 to improve to 20-5 this season and 64-14 to rank 13th all-time. Ganim won at No.2 by the scores of 6-2 and 6-1 to improve to 19-4 this season and 61-14 to rank in a tie for 15th.
BW is back in action on Tuesday, April 28 when the it travels to Alliance for an OAC quarterfinal Tournament match versus the University of Mount Union at 3:30 p.m.
