BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University junior two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Peter Harris (Akron/Revere) has been selected as the OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
Harris, who garners his first OAC weekly honor, earned the award for producing a 3-0 record at number-one singles and a 3-0 mark at No.1 doubles as the Yellow Jackets (15-2, 4-1 OAC) won two of three matches last week. Harris stretched his singles winning streak to nine straight, and he and No.1 doubles partner Doug Ganim (Olentangy/ Orange) won for the 11th straight time.
Harris 3-0 singles mark ran his record this season to 18-4 and his career mark to 62-13 to rank in 13th place on BW's all-time win list. In doubles, he and Ganim, who is an All-OAC and Academic All-OAC student-athlete, combined for a 3-0 mark to improve to 19-3 this season and 62-17 as a tandem and rank 14th all-timeth all-time.
Harris and the Yellow Jackets are back in action on Tuesday, April 21 when they travel to Westerville to play Otterbein University at 3:30 p.m. On Thursday, Aril 23, BW hosts its final regular season match by hosting OAC and Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University at the "Pop" Collins Courts at 3:30 p.m. BW also will make up a postponed match versus Capital University on Friday, April 24 in Columbus at 3:30 p.m.
