ANDERSON, Ind. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team scored three times in the second half in a 4-4 double overtime tie with Anderson (Ind.) University at the Anderson University Soccer Stadium.

Anderson (3-1-1 overall) wasted no time getting on the offensive as the Ravens rifled off their first shot just 41 seconds into the game. After two blocked shots, Jacob Pokorski finally found the back of the net in the 13th minute to give his team a 1-0 lead before the Yellow Jackets (2-2-1) got their shot on offense. Four BW shots were saved while two others were blocked leading up to the 34th minute when senior forward Ryan Hassell (Southampton, Bermuda/Western Reserve Academy) scored his first goal since 2016 with an assist from the reigning Ohio Athletic Conference Forward of the Year, junior two-time All-OAC and Academic All-OAC forward Danny Ruple (Berea/Berea-Midpark). The Ravens were able to regain a lead in the 41st minute and held that 2-1 advantage heading into halftime.

BW opened up the second half with two unanswered goals in a two minute span. Junior Academic All-OAC forward Joey Geither (Parma/Normandy) tied the game up at 2-2 with an unassisted goal while Ruple found sophomore midfielder Bryce Posner (Aurora) to give the Yellow Jackets a 3-2 lead. Trailing for the first time in the game, Anderson weathered a few more BW shots before Wes Erny evened things up at 3-3 in the 78th minute. Less than 10 seconds later, Hassell ran down the field and scored his second goal of the game, putting BW ahead 4-3. Anderson's freshman goalkeeper Caleb Oliver kept the Ravens in the game, making two more saves until Pokorski scored his second goal of the game to force overtime.

After a flurry of corner kicks to begin the first overtime, BW was able to get off three shots in the period, capped off by another Oliver save in the 98th minute. The Ravens took their only shot on goal 48 seconds into the second overtime while the Yellow Jackets took the final two shots in the eventual 4-4 tie.

Junior goalkeeper Patrick Mehal (Richfield/Revere) recorded four saves in the draw, taking his record to 2-1-1 on the year. BW held the offensive advantage, tripling the Ravens on shots (33-11), while Oliver outsaved Mehal 8-4.

BW will continue its four-game road trip on Wednesday, Sept. 12, against Allegheny (Pa.) College at 7:30 p.m. at Frank B. Fuhrer Field.
