Men's Golf Opens the Season at Gatorade Collegiate Invitational

DOVER, Ohio - The men's golf team of Baldwin Wallace University began the 2020-2021 season at the Gatorade Collegiate Invitational held by The College of Wooster at the Zoar Village Golf Course.

With a two-day total of 595 on the par-72, 6,700-yard Zoar Village layout, BW tied for fifth place out of 10 teams. Muskingum University was placed fifth as well. Capital University took the first-place slot with a total of 565.

Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference golfer Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) led the Yellow Jackets and tied for ninth place out of 57 players with a first round of 74 and a second round of 72 for an invitational total of 146. Sophomore Ryan Green (Conneaut / Edgewood) shot a 76 and had a career-low round of 73 for a two-day total of 149. Green finished in a tie for 18th place. 

In addition to Clark and Green, senior Logan Bratsch (Olmsted Falls) carded rounds of 73 and 77 for a total of 150 for the Yellow Jackets. Senior Henry Neumann (Broadview Heights / Padua Franciscan) finished with a total of 154 after scoring rounds of 75 and 79. Freshmen Christian Miller (North Lawrence / Tuslaw) rounded out the top five with rounds of 83 and 75 for a total of 158 in the invitational.

BW is back in action on Saturday, September 11th when it travels to West Lafayette to compete in the Rumble on the River at River Greens Golf Course.
