Clark Medalist - Men's Golf Finishes Third at Poppa Flowers Invitational

HIGHLAND HILLS, Ohio–The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished third at the annual Poppa Flowers Invitational hosted by John Carroll University at the Highland Park Golf Course. 

BW was third of four teams with a total of 305 strokes on the par-71 and 6,322-yard Highland Park layout. Host John Carroll took first place with a total of 296.

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference golfer Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) as he tied for first with a round of 72. Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Henry Neumann(Broadview Heights / Padua Franciscan) carded a round of 76 and was tied for ninth place.  Sophomore Ryan Green (Conneaut / Edgewood) posted a round of 78 and tied for 14th place. Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Logan Bratsch (Olmsted Falls) tied for 18th place while posting a round of 79.  Rounding out the top five was sophomore Alex Baker (Pittsburg, Pa. / North Hills) as he had a round of 87.

Playing as Individuals, Christian Miller (North Lawrence / Tuslaw) led with a round for 83. Senior Connor Thomas (Medina / Buckeye) shot a round of 83. Freshman Logan Cook (Berea / Berea-Midpark) finished a round of 85.  Freshmen Trevor Mackey (Brunswick) and senior Mike Douzos (Amherst / Firelands) both carded a round of 99.  

BW is back in action on Saturday and Sunday, September 25-26 when it travels to Alliance on to compete in the University Mount Union Fall Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.
