Men's Golf Opens Spring Portion of Season After Finishing Third at Mount Union Spring Invitational

ALLIANCE, Ohio. - The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team placed third at the University of Mount Union Spring Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.

BW finished third of five teams with a total of 626 strokes on the par-72 and 6,694-yard Tannenhauf layout. John Carroll took first with 604 strokes.

The top five leading the Yellow Jackets:

  • Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Logan Bratsch (Olmsted Falls) fired rounds of 76 and 74 for a two-day total of 150.
  • Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Henry Neumann (Broadview Heights / Padua Franciscan) posted rounds of 79 and 77 for a total of 156.
  • Senior Connor Thomas (Medina / Buckeye) tallied rounds of 81 and 76 for a total of 157.
  • Freshmen Christian Miller(North Lawrence / Tuslaw) carded rounds of 83 and 80 each for a total of 163.
  • Freshmen Logan Cook (Berea / Berea-Midpark) posted rounds of 88 and 93 for a total of 181.

Playing as individuals:

  • Sophomore Alex Baker (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Hills) carded rounds of 86 and 81 for a total of 167.
  • Freshmen Trevor Mackey (Brunswick) tallied rounds of 92 and 87 for a total of 179.
  • Senior Will Scurci (Mars, Pa. / Mars Area) posted rounds of 90 and 93 for a total of 183.
  • Senior Mike Douzos (Amherst / Firelands) posted rounds of 97 and 97 for a total of 194.

BW is back in action on Sunday, March 27th when it travels to Highland Hills to play at the Dan Cashera Spring Invitational hosted by John Carroll University at Highland Park Golf Course.
