Men’s Golf Wins Second Fall Invitational, Captures 27-Hole Rumble on the River

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio –The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team won its second invitational of the fall as it captured the 27-hole Rumble on the River hosted by John Carroll University at the River Greens Golf Course.

BW was first of four teams with a 27-hole total of 451 strokes on the par-72 and 6,668-yard  River Greens layout.

The Yellow Jackets were led by sophomore Logan Bratsch (Olmsted Falls) as he fired round of 73 and 38 for a total of 111.   Sophomore Dylan Boff (Broadview Heights/North Royalton) carded rounds of 72 and 42 for a total of 114.   Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference golfer Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) posted rounds of 78 and 37 for a total of 115.  Junior Jared Budner (Macedonia/Nordonia) tallied rounds of 78 and 39 for a total of 117.  Rounding out the top five was senior Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep) as he had rounds of 82 and 36 for a total of 118.

Playing as individuals were freshman Ian Dorman (Medina) and sophomore Steven Newbould (Parma/Valley Forge).  Newbould led the individuals with rounds of 78 and 40 for a total of 118.  In his first collegiate invitational, Dorman had rounds of 92 and 38 for a total of 130.

BW is back in action on Monday, September 16 when it travels to Shaker Heights to compete in the John DiCillo Invitational hosted by John Carroll at the Shaker Heights Country Club.  The Yellow Jackets then travel to Alliance on Saturday and Sunday, September 21-22 to compete in the Mount Union Fall Invitational.
