Men’s Golf Co-Runner Up at Mount Union Fall Invitational

ALLIANCE, Ohio –The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team was the co-runner up at the annual University of Mount Union Fall Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.

BW tied for second of six teams with a total of 606 strokes on the par-72 and 6,694-yard Tannenhauf layout.   Mount Union was the team champion with 592 strokes.

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference golfer Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) as was second of 50 golfers with a with a career-low tying round of 70 and a 74 for an invitational total of 144.  Sophomore Logan Bratsch (Olmsted Falls) tied for 10th as he fired rounds of 78 and 74 for a two-day total of 152. Sophomore Dylan Boff (Broadview Heights/North Royalton) carded rounds of 81 and a career-low tying round of 73 for an two-round total of 154.   Sophomore Steven Newbould (Parma/Valley Forge) posted a career-low round of 75 and an invitational total of 156.  Rounding out the top five was freshman Ian Dorman (Medina) as he had rounds of 81 and 85 for a total of 166.

Playing as individuals were senior Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep) and junior Jared Budner (Macedonia/Nordonia).  Ladaika led the individuals with rounds of 78 and 75 for a two-day total of 153. Budner tallied rounds of 77 and 84 for a two-round total of 161.  

BW is back in action on Sunday, September 29 when it hosts the BW Fall Invitational at the Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinckley.  The Yellow Jackets close out the fall portion of their schedule on Saturday and Sunday, October 5-6 when it travels to West Lafayette to compete in the OAC Fall Preview at the River Greens Golf Course.
