Men’s Golf Finishes Fourth at John DiCillo Invitational

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio –The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished sixth at the annual John DiCillo Invitational hosted by John Carroll University at the Shaker Heights Country Club.

BW was fourth of six teams with a total of 312 strokes on the par-70 and 6,721-yard  Shaker Heights layout.   John Carroll was the champion with a total of 294.

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference golfer Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) as he tied for eighth of 46 golfers with a round of 75.  Sophomores Dylan Boff (Broadview Heights/North Royalton)  and Logan Bratsch (Olmsted Falls)  each carded rounds of 76.  Junior Jared Budner (Macedonia/Nordonia) posted a round of 85.  Rounding out the top five was senior Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep) as he had a round of 90.

Playing as individuals were freshman Ian Dorman (Medina) and sophomore Steven Newbould (Parma/Valley Forge).   Dorman led the individuals with a career-low round of 73 to finish in a tie for second place.  Newbould posted a career-low tying 76.

BW is back in action on Saturday and Sunday, September 21-12 when it travels to Alliance on to compete in the University Mount Union Fall Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.
