Men’s Basketball Selected Tied for Sixth in OAC Coaches’ Poll

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team was voted to finish tied for sixth by the coaches in the 2021 Ohio Athletic Conference preseason poll. 

BW was selected tied for sixth with 35 points. They were tied with Capital University at that position. Marietta College, who finished atop the conference and won the conference tournament last season, was selected first with 81 points and nine first-place votes. The University of Mount Union follows in second with 73 points and one first-place vote. Rounding out the top five is Heidelberg University with 59 points, John Carroll University with 54 points and Ohio Northern University with 41 points.

The Yellow Jackets finished tied for eight last season with an overall record of 2-6 and a 2-6 record in the OAC.

BW opens its season on Tuesday, November 9, when they travel to Hiram to take on Hiram College in a non-conference match inside. the Price Gymnasium.
