Men’s Soccer Loses Heartbreaker in OT

BEREA, Ohio—The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team was defeated by the University of Mount Union in an Ohio Athletic Conference game, 1-0 in overtime, Wednesday evening on Tressel Field inside of George Finnie Stadium.

After 90 minutes of play the score was still tied 0-0. BW (4-9-2, 1-3 OAC) outshot Mount Union (7-4-1, 2-2 OAC) 12 to 10 in regulation.

In the overtime the Purple Raiders broke through the defense and scored the game winning goal in the 92nd minute.  

Senior goalkeeper Zach Haynes (Medina) made four saves for the Yellow Jackets.

The Yellow Jackets next game is on Saturday, October 17 when they travel to Wilmington, Ohio to face off against, OAC foe, Wilmington College on Townsend Field inside of  Williams Stadium at 7 p.m.
