Men’s Soccer Falls in Season Finale at Capital

BEREA, Ohio—The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team was defeated, 1-0, by  the number two-seed in the Ohio Athletic Conference, Capital University in its final game of the 2015 season inside of Bernlohr Stadium.

BW (4-13-3, 1-7-1 OAC) outshot Capital (9-8-1, 7-6-1 OAC) five to three, but neither team could score in the first 45 minutes of play.

In the second half the Crusaders took a 1-0 lead when Hunter Stiger scored his fifth goal of the season at the 74:55 mark.

Senior goalkeeper Zach Haynes (Medina) faced 14 shots and made four saves in his final game as a Yellow Jacket.

Capital will be competing in the OAC tournament as the number two seed and will receive a bye in the first round and host the winner of the game between the three and six seeds on Thursday, November 5.

The men's soccer will miss out on postseason play, and finishes the year with a 4-12-3 overall record.
