Men’s Soccer Comes Up Short vs. Heidelberg

TIFFIN, Ohio—The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer was defeated by Heidelberg University, 3-1, Tuesday evening in an Ohio Athletic Conference came at the Hidden Valley Soccer Complex.

In the first half Heidelberg (3-6-3, 1-1 OAC) scored the only two goals of the in the 23rd and 34th minute.

In the second half the Yellow Jackets (4-7-2, 1-1 OAC) got on the scoreboard when sophomore forward Brian Sposit (Parma/Valley Forge) headed a loose ball into the back of the net. The goal was Sposit's first of his collegiate career. Freshman Midfielder Garrett McCue (Bourbonnais, Ill.) was credited with the assist.

In the 68th minute the Student Princes struck again and put the game out of reach.

Senior goalkeeper Zach Haynes (Medina) made five saves for BW.

On Friday, October 9 the Yellow Jackets travel to Marietta, Ohio to face off against Marietta University in an Ohio Athletic Conference game on Marietta Field at 4 p.m.
