ALLIANCE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference attackman Brock Riemenschneider (Rocky River) recorded his 100th career point in the 6-3 OAC regular season finale victory against the University of Mount Union inside Mount Union Stadium.

Riemenschneider assisted sophomore All-OAC attackman Chad Steinwachs (Buffalo, N.Y./Williamsville North) at the 13:19 mark in the second quarter to earn his 100th career point. He is the second men's lacrosse player to reach the 100-point mark in the programs five-year history.

Tonight, BW (12-2, 7-1 OAC) was led by senior All-OAC defender Josiah Greve (Milford) as he tallied four caused turnovers and one ground ball. Sophomore goalkeeper Nate Karatas (Penfield, N.Y.) picked up his second career victory as he made five saves for the Yellow Jackets. Offensively, Steinwachs, junior midfielder Matt McDowell (East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville North) and sophomore attackman Mike Nanosky (Medina) each recorded two points each. Steinwachs and McDowell each scored two goals and Nanosky scored one goal and added one assist.

Mount Union (6-7, 2-5 OAC) was led by sophomore goalkeeper Jake Krone as he faced 48 shots and made a game-high 19 saves. Offensively, senior attackman Chris Daley score one goal and added an assist for a team-high two points.

The Purple Raiders scored the only goal in the first quarter despite being outshot 16-1 when sophomore midfielder Grant Elffers netted an unassisted goal at the 4:37 mark giving Mount Union a 1-0 lead at the end of the quarter.

In the second quarter, the Yellow Jackets outscored the Purple Raiders 3-0. Steinwachs, sophomore midfielder Judson Huston (Delaware/Rutherford B. Hayes) scored the first two goals for BW. McDowell closed out the scoring off a pass from sophomore attackman Mike Nanosky (Medina) with 5:27 left in the half.

In the third stanza, the Yellow Jackets scored two more to extend its lead to 5-1 when Steinwachs his second of the game at the 12:50 mark. The Purple Raiders scored two unanswered to close out the third quarter when Daley netted an unassisted goal at the 6:00 mark to cut the BW lead to 5-3 before the final quarter.

The Yellow Jackets scored the only goal in the fourth quarter when McDowell buried his second goal of the game off a feed from sophomore midfielder Derek Andrews (Alden, N.Y./Iroquois) with 10:35 left on the clock.

BW is back in action on Tuesday, May 2 when it hosts an OAC semifinal game on Tressel Field inside George Finnie Stadium at 7 p.m. The OAC Championship will be played on Saturday, May 6 at a time to be announced.
