AUSTINTOWN, Ohio –  Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse senior defender Josiah Greve (Milford) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season to highlight eight All-OAC honors.

Joining Greve on the first-team were senior face-off specialist Alex Fioritto (Akron/Walsh Jesuit), sophomore attackman Chad Steinwachs (Buffalo, N.Y./Williamsville North) and junior midfielder Matt McDowell (East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville North). Sophomore defender Brian Jandzinski (Lancaster, N.Y./Central) and sophomore long stick midfielder Cole McClary (Perrysburg) were both tabbed as second-team selections. Junior midfielder Derek Andrews (Alden, N.Y./Iroquois) and sophomore attackman Mike Nanosky (Medina) were selected as honorable mention.  

Greve was named the OAC Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season and is one of three student-athletes conference wide to land on the first-team in all four years. This season, he caused a team-high 30 turnovers, was tied for second on the team with 42 ground balls and also scored his first goal since his freshman season. The 2016 Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) All-West Region first-team selection finishes his career with a school record 139 ground balls and is second on the BW's all-time ground ball list with 185. Last season, Greve set a single-season school record with 47 caused turnovers.

Fioritto earns his third All-OAC honor after being named to first-team in 2016 and selected to the second-team in 2015. He finished the year with a face-off percentage of 63.5 as he won 183 of the 288 face-offs and picked up a team-high 78 ground balls. Over the past four seasons, Fioritto has won a school-record 653 face-offs, finished with a percentage of 61.0 and collected a school-record 380 ground balls. As a junior, he set single-season school records in face-off wins with 200 and ground balls with 120.

Steinwachs garners his second All-OAC accolade after being named to the second-team a season ago. He tallied a team-high tying and career-high 28 goals, added a team-high tying 12 assists for a career-high 40 points. In his young career, Steinwachs has scored 49 goals and added 29 assists for 78 points. The sophomore attackman is currently in the top-four on BW's all-time list for goals, assists and points.

McDowell earns his first All-OAC honor. In his first season in the brown and gold, he finished third on the team with 32 points as he netted 20 goals and added a team-high tying 12 assists. The mid-year transfer led the Yellow Jackets to a victory at Ohio Northern with a career-high four goals.

Jandzinski garners his second All-OAC accolade after being named an honorable mention last season. He started in all 15 games, was second on the team with 14 caused turnovers and collected a career-high 23 ground balls. In two seasons, Jandzinski has caused 31 turnovers and picked up 44 ground balls. He is currently fifth on BW's all-time caused turnovers list. 

McClary earns his second All-OAC second-team honor. This season, he was tied for second on the team with 42 ground balls, caused 12 turnovers, scored one goal and added two assists for three points. In his career, McClary is fourth on the all-time caused turnovers list with 36, sixth on the all-time ground balls list with 100 and has scored three goals and added three assists for six points.

Andrews garners his first career All-OAC accolade. After making the move to the midfield this season, he netted 11 goals and added 10 assists for 21 points. In his Yellow Jacket career, he has scored 28 goals and added 28 assists for 56 points. Andrews currently is fifth on BW's all-time assists list.   

Nanosky earns his first All-OAC honor. The mid-year transfer played in all 15 games and tallied a team-high tying and career-high 28 goals, 12 assists and 40 points. Nanosky scored a career-high tying four goals and added one assist for a career-high tying five points in a victory versus Otterbein University.

BW finished the year with an overall record of 12-3, finished second in the conference with an OAC record of 7-1 and advanced to the OAC Tournament semifinals for the fourth straight year.
