Men’s Golf Finishes Fifth at the Mount Union Fall Invitational

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished fifth at the two day Mount Union Fall Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.

BW finished fifth of eight teams with a final score of 616. John Carroll University won the invitational with a score of 590.

BW was led by, senior Scott Schroeder (Aurora), senior Matt Kershner (Independence) and freshman Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted). Schroeder carded a 74 in round one and a season-best 71 in the final round for a total of 145. Kershner shot rounds of 77 and 79 for a final of 156 and Clark fired rounds of 81 and 77 for a total of 158. Along with the top three finishers, sophomore Hunter Miller (Frankfort / Adena) carded rounds of 82 and 78 for a final score of 160 and senior Weston Lucas (Strongsville / Christian Community School) fired rounds of 79 and 85 for a total of 164 to complete the top five.

As individuals, freshman Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa. / Erie Cathedral Prep) shot a career-best round of 76 and a 77 in round two for a final of 153 and sophomore Adam Morris (Grafton / Midview) fired an 85 in round one and a career-best 77 in round two for a total of  162. Sophomore Jack Kyle (Bay Village / Bay) carded rounds of 85 and 86 for a final of 171 and junior Tommy Glenn (Avon) shot rounds of 97 and 92 for a score of 189.

The Yellow Jackets wrap up the fall portion of the schedule on October 1 and 2 at the Coach John DiCillo Tournament hosted by John Carroll University at the Hudson Country Club.
