Men’s Golf in Fifth After Day One of OAC Championships

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team sits in fifth place after day one of the three-day Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Muskingum University on the River Greens Golf Course.

BW is in fifth of eight teams with a team score of 304 on the par-72 and 6,668 yard course. Otterbein University is in first with a score of 286.

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior Matt Kershner (Independence) as he fired a team-best round of 72 and is tied for third overall. Right behind Kershner is senior Scott Schroeder (Aurora) as he shot a round of 73 and is tied for sixth individually.

In addition, freshman Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) carded a round of 77, sophomore Hunter Miller (Frankfort/Adena) shot an opening round of 82 and sophomore Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Catholic) finished the day with a score of 86.

The OAC Championships continue on Saturday, April 29 on the River Greens Golf Course.
