Men’s Golf Takes Second at the Coach John DiCillo Invitational

HUDSON, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of its schedule with a second place finish at the two-day Coach John DiCillo Tournament hosted by John Carroll University at the Hudson Country Club.

The BW team finished second of five teams with a final score of 608 and the "B" team finished seventh with a score of 677. The John Carroll team won the two-day invitational with a score of 597.

Senior Scott Schroeder (Aurora) tied for second individually as he shot rounds of 73 and 74 for a team best 147 final score. Senior Matt Kershner (Independence), Sophomore Hunter Miller (Frankfort / Adena), freshman Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) and freshman Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa. / Erie Cathedral Prep) capped off the top-five. Kershner fired rounds of 72 and 77 for a final of 149, Miller carded rounds of 77 and 79 for a total of 156, Clark shot rounds of 77 and 81 for a score of 158 and Ladaika posted rounds of 87 and 79 for a final of 166.

Senior Weston Lucas (Strongsville / Christian Community School), sophomore Jack Kyle (Bay Village / Bay), sophomore Adam Morris (Grafton / Midview) and junior Tommy Glenn (Avon) played on the "B" team for the Yellow jackets. Lucas carded rounds of 78 and 76 for a total of 154, Kyle shot rounds of 80 and 81 for a score of 161, Morris fired two rounds of 86 for a total of 172 and Glenn posted rounds of 97 and 93 for a score of 190.

The Yellow Jackets have finished the fall portion of the schedule and are off until their spring trip in early March.
