Men’s Golf Finishes Fourth at Cardinal Classic

SUNBURY, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished fourth at the Cardinal Classic hosted by Otterbein University at the North Star Golf Club.

BW finished fourth of four teams with a team score of 319 on the par-72 and 6,598-yard course. Otterbein won the classic with a team total of 301.

Leading the way for the Yellow Jackets was senior All-OAC golfer Scott Schroeder (Aurora) as he shot a team-best round of 76 and tied for eighth overall. In addition, freshman Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) carded a round of 78, senior Matt Kershner (Independence) had a final of 82, sophomore Hunter Miller (Frankfort/Adena) shot a round of 83 and sophomore Brad Blaine (Brooklyn) closed out the top-five with a total of 85.

Freshman Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep), sophomore Adam Morris (Grafton/Midview), senior Weston Lucas (Strongsville/Christian Community School), sophomore Jack Kyle (Bay Village/Bay), sophomore Brayton Thornburg (Columbus, Ind./) and junior Tommy Glenn (Avon) each played as individuals. Ladaika shot a round of 82, Morris earned a final of 83, Lucas carded a total of 84, Kyle shot a final of 91, Thornburg recorded a round of 98 and Glenn finished with a total of 107.

BW is back in action when it travels to Shaker Heights to play in the Shaker Invitational hosted by John Carroll University at the Shaker Heights Country Club.
