BEREA, Ohio -- Baldwin Wallace University freshman Nick Infanti (Clarksburg, Md.) played in his first-ever collegiate golf tournament last weekend and is this week's Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for his outstanding individual effort.
Infanti, who did not play golf during the 2015 fall season when he was a candidate for the Yellow Jacket baseball team, placed second individually and had the top score among OAC golfers at the April 2-3 Ohio Northern University Spring Invitational at the Colonial Players Golf Club in Harrod, Ohio. He fired a tourney-low 37 on the weather-shortened first day and a 79 on the second for 116 total strokes to place second of 47 golfers and lead BW to a fourth place finish as a team.
Infanti and the Yellow Jackets are back in action on Sunday-Monday, April 10-11 when they travel to Shaker Heights, Ohio to compete at the 2016 John Carroll University Spring Invitational at the Shaker Heights Country Club. Tee times are to be announced at a later date.
