Schroeder Garners Second of the Fall and Third Career OAC Men's Golf Weekly Honor

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference men's golfer Scott Schroeder (Aurora) has been selected as the OAC Men's Golfer of the Week for third time in his career and second time in three weeks for his stellar performance Purple Raider Invitational hosted by the University of Mount Union on September 26-27.

Schroeder led the Yellow Jackets to the tem title and fired consecutive rounds of 71 on the par-72 and 6,694-yard Tannenhauf Golf Course in Alliance to finish two-under-par with a 142-stroke total. He earned medalist honors by two strokes.

Earlier this fall, Schroeder was the medalist and OAC Player of the Week at the Raider Invitational hosted by Mount Union on Sept. 13-14 where he carded a career-low 69 at the Alliance Country Club

Schroder earned his first OAC weekly honor when he was the medalist at the Pat "Poppa" Flowers Invitational hosted by John Carroll University at the Shaker Heights Country Club in the fall of 2013.

This season, Schroeder leads the Yellow Jackets with a 73.50 average after five fall tournaments and eight rounds of 18 holes.  He has finished in the top-seven in four tournaments, including the two medalist awards. 

For his career, Schroeder has 77.58 stroke average in 27 tournaments and 50.5 rounds.

BW closes out the fall portion of its sOAC Fall Invitational hosted by Ohio Northern University at the Colonial Players Club.
